Lesions affecting the face and mouth are of great diagnostic value providing important information to the clinician. In addition to the oral diseases which have oral symptoms, many systemic diseases have oral manifestations, and the patient may turn to either the dental or medical practitioner. Many examinations, including the BDS and postgraduate qualifications in medicine and dentistry (MRCP, contain a section on slide interpretation to measure the student's ability to manage clinical problems in an examination format. This book contains over 100 slide interpretation questions, divided into two sections. The first section covers lesions by location and the second, lesions by presentation. This book is ideal for students to test their knowledge of oral diseases and the oral manifestations of systemic disease. The questions are graded into three levels of difficulty and there are answers and accompanying explanatory notes at the end of each chapter. In full colour, the pictures range from the common to the more exotic, to test the basic level of knowledge required and to help revision, and to expand the student's awareness and encourage self-directed learning.

Designed to provide students with background in oral disease, this heavily-illustrated volume features six papers, each accompanied by fifteen full-color clinical slides of oral disease. Every section presents a mixture of problems ranging from the common to the exotic and from simple dental lesions to oral lesions in systemic disease, poses related questions, and provides answers at the end, along with extra illustrations and further discussion.
